"detailed", "photograph", "fedora", "studio lighting" The level of language understanding is incredible LLMs understand text a lot better than DALL-E but, beyond pushing numbers on language benchmarks, they were never able to communicate this "understanding" to us this well

In a new paper, out now in @IEEETxnOnGames, we dig into the question of how to best present the environment to an agent learning to play video games. We propose a method, DORL, which combines local and global observations, using tile-coded representations of the environment.
